A press release from Orpheus Brewing in Atlanta indicates that the brewery is heading in a different direction. See the full release below:
Orpheus Brewing, one of the Peach State’s most highly-regarded breweries, is partnering with beverage platform Bevana to manage its distribution and online sales as they refocus on the innovation and quality that have made them popular and sought-after across the Southeast. Specializing in navigating the challenges of beverage distribution, Bevana will significantly expand the company’s ability to get its award-winning beers into the hands of customers across the country. Jason Pellett, Founder and Brewmaster for Orpheus, will continue to lead the brewery as it adapts to the changing landscape of craft beer.
“Our primary interest and skill set is in making beautiful beer, but it takes a lot more than that to run a brewery,” explained Pellet. “After 9 years of being pulled into every aspect of managing the business, it’s exciting for us to partner with Bevana and take advantage of their expertise while I finally get to focus solely on making the beer.”
Long a feature of the Atlanta beer scene, the biggest challenge for Orpheus has been keeping up with an ever-growing demand for their beer. Distributed in 10 states, craft beer enthusiasts have been demanding more access to popular options like the brewery’s flagship Transmigration of Souls Double IPA. That is a challenge that, thus far, the company has been unable to surmount. Working together with Bevana not only expands where Orpheus products can be found, but also allows the brewery to focus their resources on creating more of the beers and experiences that drinkers have come to expect from the brand.
This partnership is a key step forward for Orpheus, as the craft beer market in the country continues to change rapidly in a post-pandemic environment. Always ones to push the limits with their beers, the leadership of Orpheus are evolving their business alongside those changes, and ensuring that the principles of quality, community, and creativity that the industry was founded on continue to thrive and grow into the future.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to know Jason for some time, and have been a fan of Orpheus’ beers for even longer,” explains Aaron Gore, Bevana’s Senior Director of Business Development. “More importantly though, they have always embodied the ethos and mission that craft beer is really about for us. Customers don’t just want amazing beer, which Orpheus definitely has. They want amazing beer made by real people, with real passion, who care about what they do. That’s what this industry, and this partnership, are all about, and we’re proud to be working with such an incredible group of people.”
Orpheus’s beers will also be offered through Bevana’s online shop (shop.bevana.com), where all of the platform’s beverage partners may be ordered and shipped directly to customers’ homes or businesses. With the ability to deliver beer to customers in forty-two states, it helps beverage makers and drinkers cut through the noise and the barriers that stand in the way of enjoying the best drinks that the world has to offer, regardless of location.
